History
For the last fifteen years Solaris Bus & Coach has transformed from a sales office into a manufacturer of low-floor city buses, the leader on the Polish bus market. The company was successful not only on the domestic market but also on European markets. Solaris Bus & Coach became a respected competitor for well-known global players present in the industry for many years.

16.11.2011 The 1000th bus from Bolechowo to Warsaw
The company delivered the 1000th bus manufactured in Bolechowo to Municipal Bus Operator in Warsaw. This is the Polish city which has the biggest fleet of buses assembled in the factory owned by Olszewski family.
20.09.2011 Solaris Urbino electric
Solaris Urbino electric is introduced. This is the first Polish bus fully powered by electric energy stored on the board of the vehicle. The premiere took place during Transexpo Kielce trade fair.
11.07.2011 Tramino to Jena
Solaris signed the contract for delivering 5 Traminos to Jena, Germany. It is the company’s first export contract for delivery of light rail vehicles.
15.06.2011 The Economic Prize of the President of the Republic of Poland
Solaris receives The Economic Prize of the President of the Republic of Poland for the second time. Casually, the award is called "The Polish Economic Nobel-Prize".
23.05.2011 Tramino Poznań
The first of the series-produced Solaris Tramino trams started operation in Poznan, Poland.
08.04.2011 Russia to become 24th export market
The company sold its first bus in Russia. Now, Solaris buses are present in 24 countries.
22.03.2011 Solaris celebrates its 15th anniversary!
15 years ago production of buses started in Bolechowo.
